Deep in the Whispering Woods, Dr. Barnaby Bear sat on a mossy log. He wore his white doctor's coat and held a glowing blue telescope. His friend, Sammy the Squirrel, hopped over to see what was happening today.

Dr. Barnaby Bear pointed his magic telescope toward a happy child playing nearby. He told Sammy that our bodies have amazing parts called organs working inside. Each organ has a special job to keep us feeling very healthy and strong.

First, they looked at the brain inside the child's head. It looked like a pink, wrinkly cloud that sends messages to the whole body. The brain helps us think, learn new things, and tells our legs when to run and jump.

Next, they saw the heart beating steadily in the middle of the chest. It went lub-dub, lub-dub, pushing bright red blood through every path. This strong pump carries energy and air to our fingers, toes, and everywhere in between.

Two big, pink lungs filled up with air like fluffy balloons. Every time the child took a deep breath, the lungs gathered fresh oxygen. Sammy watched as the lungs got bigger and smaller while the boy smelled a pretty flower.

Down in the tummy area, they found the busy stomach. It was shaped like a small bag and was busy breaking down a crunchy apple. The stomach turns our food into fuel so we have power to play all day long.

Right next to the stomach sat the large, reddish-brown liver. Dr. Barnaby Bear explained that the liver is like a brave filter. It cleans the blood and gets rid of things that do not belong in our healthy bodies.

Lower down, they saw the long, twisty intestines that look like wiggly ropes. These clever tubes take all the good vitamins from our food. They make sure the body gets every bit of goodness to help us grow tall and strong.

Finally, they spotted two small kidneys shaped exactly like little beans. These organs work very hard to keep our water levels just right. They filter out waste and keep our insides balanced so we never feel too floppy or tired.

Sammy the Squirrel hugged his tummy and thanked Dr. Barnaby Bear for the lesson. He promised to eat healthy food and exercise every day. And so, the two friends headed home, knowing their amazing bodies were working perfectly inside.
